Exciting news, everyone!
Two of my favorite film projects that I acted in last summer have been selected to show at the 2018 Christian Worldview Film Festival (“CWvFF”)!
The first project is a short comedy, “Wink at Me”, written and directed by Wesley Wood of Wooden Films. Fun fact: the director and I actually met while attending CWvFF last year! I had the pleasure of seeing a screening of another one of Wesley’s comedies, “Happy Together”, and was impressed with it’s snappy comedic editing (it’s all in the timing, right?).
A couple of my favorite things about working on this short film:
1) While I have acted in several comedic stage plays, this was my first comedic film! So much fun.
2) I actually co-starred with one of my acting students; how cool is that?
3) We filmed on-location in Tennessee, another first for me! 🙂
4) Getting to work with some seriously awesome Christian filmmakers.

The second film I acted in which is screening at CWvFF this year is actually a docu-drama: “Operation Dynamo”, a Border Watch Films production. Through narrative storytelling, dramatic reenactments, and animated maps, “Operation Dynamo” tells the real-life history of the same WWII British military operation highlighted in Christopher Nolan’s 2017 film, “Dunkirk”.
Some favorite things about this project:
1) I LOVE the WWII time period, and the authentic costumes, props, and settings for this project were an absolute dream to work with/in.
2) This might sound odd coming from an actress, but I was so excited about not having any spoken lines in this, haha! I am a huge an of silent movies, and I felt like I got a little taste of what it was like to be in one.
3) Did I mention the costumes?? 😉

It was such a pleasure acting in both of these films; 2017 was a great year, and it looks like 2018 is off to a great start as well! All thanks to God for bringing these opportunities my way, and always making life an adventure! <3
